Hadith on Whisperings: Allah has forgiven the Muslims for their evil thoughts as long as they do not speak or act upon them

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, “Indeed, Allah has pardoned my nation for (evil) thoughts within themselves as long as they do not speak of it or act upon it.”

[Sahih Muslim, Book 1, Number 230]

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ  قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَجَاوَزَ لِأُمَّتِي مَا حَدَّثَتْ بِهِ أَنْفُسَهَا مَا لَمْ يَتَكَلَّمُوا أَوْ يَعْمَلُوا بِهِ
